Past

In September 2008, DROKPA hosted a succesful fundraiser for the Kula Ri Mountain School, a boarding school in the Panzang Valley of Dolpo, west Nepal. Painter Tenzin Norbu and DROKPA's executive staff hosted a screening of the film "Himalaya" at the Savoy Theater in Montpelier, Vermont. The screening was followed by a half-hour discussion with Tenzin Norbu and donations to the school were solicited after the event. Norbu was instrumental in the filming of "Himalaya" and his mother played a central acting role as the wife of the chieftain, Tinle.
